Guest Post by Mackie Torralba
Ever heard the term “Built. Not Bought.”??? Well, that’s exactly what our buddy Mackie Torralba from Davao City, now living in Virginia, USA, to his 1991 Honda Prelude.
He got himself 3 cars, took the best out of all 3, and scrapped all the worst bits and pieces, and put together the brilliant creation you see right here.
So without further ado, take it away Mackie!

Hey guys! I’m originally from Davao City. Came here (to the US) back in ’01. Anyway here’s a little history on the car:
I found a 1990 Honda Prelude for 150 and planned to rebuild it and sell it. Shortly after, I found a 1988 Prelude that runs, but the body was rusted through. So I planned to combine two cars into one since one was an automatic and had a motor with Fiber Reinforced Material (FRM) walls. Then I found another body that was said to only have a blown head gasket, alas the b!tch had a rod through the block but I didn’t know until I got it back to the shop. Aiyt so now I ended up having 3 Preludes, 1 that Runs and 2 that don’t, so….

Took the current body (best out of all 3), took the motor and transmission from the 2nd one, Took the 4 wheel steering (4WS) from the 3rd one, and put everything together into what you see here.

Man, I can list a lot of small sh!t for this car that I have changed or upgraded, might be redundant.
From the beginning , I’ve built this car with a purpose – to daily drive it. Its been 3 years and almost 100k miles since I’ve rebuilt and had this thing on the road. Needless to say, it’s serving its purpose.
Currently painting the car (not going too well) and building my first entry level baller wheels.
